From there, it branched out to the Mermaid City Tournament to help support high school ladies in golf. Make sure to check back and follow us for more!

Now in its third year, the tournament is held each June at Sewell's Point Golf Course in Norfolk, Virginia, featuring a Captain's Choice format with a shotgun start.
Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting the Granby Golf Team and providing opportunities for young golfers in the Hampton Roads community. What started as one tournament for one team has grown into the flagship event of East Coast Golf Academy's broader mission — because every young golfer deserves the chance to achieve greatness.

Join us for a day on the links as East Coast Golf Academy hosts a charity golf tournament in support of Matthew's Center — a Virginia-licensed, 501(c)(3) private special education day school dedicated to empowering students with autism and special needs. Founded in 2000 by Mark and Laurie Heilman, Matthew's Center has grown from serving just two students in a local church to now serving over 30 students between the ages of 5 and 22. The organization offers full wrap-around services to students and families — providing support across home, school, and community environments — with a focus on communication and social skill development for those affected by autism.
Every swing you take helps make a difference. Come out in October and tee it up for a great cause!
